In Gilbert, we are fortunate to live in a vibrant community that is served by three A-rated school districts. Yet, despite these advantages, a real technology gap exists between those who can afford it, and those who simply cannot.
In this week’s Manager’s Update we’re talking about Connect2Compete, a new and innovative program. Gilbert has been working with Cox Communications to put a program into place that seeks to bridge the technology gap in the three school districts that serve Gilbert families – Gilbert Public Schools, Higley Unified School District and Chandler Unified School District.
If you have, or know someone who has at least one child who receives a free lunch at school, your family may qualify for high-speed Internet service at a drastically reduced monthly rate – only $9.95, plus tax, with free installation and modem.
If you’d like to learn more, please visit www.Connect2Compete.org to see if you qualify for this program and download this Connect2Compete pdf for details in Spanish or English.
